Rain wreaks havoc in Karachi, and nothing remains completely safe during these days—especially electrical and electronic equipment.
You are strongly advised to avoid using elevators throughout the rainy season, particularly during active rainfall. Due to poor construction in many buildings, rainwater can seep into the elevator shaft, severely damaging electronic control systems.
Please follow the precautions below:
Whenever rainfall is anticipated, send the elevator to the top floor and initiate a complete shutdown.
If the last stop is at the rooftop, cover the elevator door with plastic sheets or foam boards to prevent water entry.
Ensure that no water enters the machine room under any circumstances.
Providing maintenance and emergency support during rainfall is unsafe for our technicians; therefore, such activities should be avoided as much as possible.
